Aspiring to be the Best – Our ASE Certified Technicians in Queens

Have you ever taken your vehicle to a shop and wondered if the technicians were right for the job? How would you know if they had the knowledge and skills to work on your car or truck adequately; you could be handing over your precious automobile to a complete numbskull who doesn’t know jack! Honestly, though, that rarely happens, but wouldn’t you be more comfortable knowing if the technician was legitimate? You won’t have to worry about that at Flower Hill Auto Body, where we have ASE Certified Technicians in Queens!

What Does ASE Certified Mean?

ASE stands for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, and this non-profit organization has been operating since 1972 to improve vehicle repair service. This certification exists to protect the shop, technicians, and most importantly you. Automotive professionals are tested on their level of expertise before working on an auto body floor, and almost 300,000 technicians and service professionals hold an ASE certification. Having this certification lets you know what our team of professionals are the best for the job, no matter the problem. You will never have to worry about unskilled technicians or repair methods that are outdated because there is no easy way to achieve this standing. We only want the best working on your vehicle, and having this certification proves our dedication to you.

What Does It Entail?

To obtain an ASE certification, automotive technicians must pass a test that is written by a national panel of seasoned automotive professionals including auto manufacturers, educators, and working technicians. These tests are separated into more than 40 exams, all based on specialties like trucks, automobiles, truck equipment, collision repair, school bus, and more. There is no “general certification” that allows technicians to work on whatever vehicle they want, and the tests are challenging. Only two out of three test-takers pass on the first attempt, and once you become ASE certified, you have to retest every five years to maintain your status. Not only to technicians have to pass this test, but they also have to have at least two years of on the job training, or one year of training plus a two-year degree in automotive repair.
